Re: {{PublishedList}} is broken
No, seriously, he's right, it's -broken- broken. It's not working-as-ordered-and-just-looks-broken-because-he-doesn't-understand-it-broken*, it is -broken-. I can attach a screenshot of how it looks on my Mac running the latest Safari browser. It displays (in every publisher page to which it's been ...

Re: Should "Folksongs" always imply "Songs"?
Well, we also apply "lieder" to any composition so-described even if it's for piano solo, and this in turn implies songs, which is ok too. Remember that songs without words are a Thing. The description of the category "Songs" needs changing.

Re: Skalkottas 8 Variations on a Greek folksong for piano trio
It was published in 1957, and so it's not in the public domain in the US, but I'm guessing it is elsewhere.

Re: Arthur Sullivan: The Grand Duke, in full score
Do you need the full score of that song or will the vocal score, published in 1896, do? IMSLP already has that.

Re: Naxos Music Library
is anyone else having new trouble as of today with the nml features of the iphone imslp app, eg where it used to be possible to temporarily download tracks of commercial recordings (if one had a membership) and where one no longer can? it gives a reason but I can’t read it 🙂 Edit: “because the file ...

Re: Vivaldi - Cello Concerto A Minor RV 420
I think it was first published by Ricordi, in reduction, in 1972, edited by Zobeley (RV 420 = F3 N.21). Worldcat link.
The manuscript is in a German library; UNCG has a photocopy. Hopefully the Musescore person based the edition on the manuscript, not a 1972-or-later edition, though.

Re: Wilhelm STENHAMMAR
edit the second: what Worldcat lists as a "publication" by Marek in 1938 is a manuscript copy (abschrift); its first actual publication was by STIM in 1984, which is after the usual limit at this time for copyright, I think. It will leave copyright protection in somewhat over a dozen years...

Re: Beethoen Romance no. 2 etude practice
Ok, I see Hess 13/WoO 207 (E minor, 1786-7) which was published in 1952 so - not lost..., Hess 11 (1816) (Romance No.3) (lost???), also the title used as a movement for the second movement of the sonatina Anh.5 No.1, but I barely know of those I suppose and know of no others, sorry...

Re: Pierre de Bréville "Stamboul"
It was composed in 1895, published in 1897 (publisher unknown), with a 2nd edition in 1921 (Rouart). See BNF Entry 1 (edit: this version is for 2 violin/viola string trio, interesting, 3 numbers only out of 4 - lacking Le phanar- with the subtitle Les muezzins de Ste Sophie) and BNF entry 2 . There'...
