Re: Sticking up for copyright?

Right, and thus we don't allow works of living or Non-PD composers without permission. I would hate to see Pierre Boulez, Elliot Carter, Salvatore Sciarrino, or Paul Moravec starving and penniless as much as I would the heirs of Stravinsky, Berio, Malipiero, Shostakovich, Britten, and Donatoni. The...

Re: Sticking up for copyright?

Hello Hello everyone, I am in agreement with most of the opposition to the mindless extension and complication of copyright law, but I'd just like to point something out which always goes unnoticed. Music publishers earn a great deal of their income from two things: (1) utter drivel which they hope ...

Re: copyright vs publication

Sorry Actually I never heard anything about Foamy the Squirrel before.
But I can tell you at least that I know what a squirrel is.

Re: copyright vs publication

I think they are deeply sick - all these rules. Life would be muc easier and more
pleasant for all parts if the same rules were applied as in the patent legislation.
And it would feel more righteous if inventors and artists were protected by the
same kind of legislation.

Re: Which Copyright would we like to see ourselves ?

Hello Cutting back the Copyright to what it was in its beginning is a long term political project. The recently founded Pirate Parties are the only political movements who have the intention to put this issue on the international political agenda. At the same time this would strengthen the rights of...

Re: Which Copyright would we like to see ourselves ?

Hello My solution for the problem with unreasonably long protection periods in the copyright legislation would be to harmonize all kinds of immaterial property legislation. The shape of the patent legislation would be the model for all the other laws. Personally I can not see any reason why the crea...

Which Copyright would we like to see ourselves ?

Hello Please allow me here in this place to start a new discussion - not about copyright legislation as it is today, but how we would like to have it instead. I want to apologize for my bad English. I have been a member of the Swedish Pirate Party for about one year. We are working politically for a...

Re: Lustige Wikipediaseite: Free Sheet Music

Re: Lustige Wikipediaseite: Free Sheet Music

Re: Lustige Wikipediaseite: Free Sheet Music

Re: Eigene Komposition reinstellen - wer hilft ?

My little funeral march

Hello This year I wrote a small funeral march (with trio) in four different settings and published it here on IMSLP on my composer page. This mrch is dedicated to a very dear late lamented friend of mine. Now I would like to link to this little work from the page "Music for funerals" to ma...

Re: Lustige Wikipediaseite: Free Sheet Music
