I'm looking for the vocal scores of most of the operas and oratorien by Handel.

I happen to know from personal experience that there are few if any vocal scores of Handel's operas in public domain. Recent vocal scores by Baerenreiter are certainly not in public domain. The oratorios I'm not sure about...

Actually, Rieter-Biedermann and Peters issued a number of vocal scores (usually in German), which were derived from the Chrysander edition. Not easy to find, though.

If I'm not mistaken, many (or most?) of the oratorios in the Chrysander edition were printed with a piano arrangement underneath the orchestral score.

That's true. Certainly for the earlier volumes, anyway.
