Re: Krenek's completion of Schubert's "Reliquie" sonata
No worries—think I must have misunderstood, had the impression this had something to do with copyright status requests <_<

Krenek's completion of Schubert's "Reliquie" sonata
Completed in 1921, first published in 1923 by Universal Edition, plate # UE 7296. The Schubert workpage ( https://imslp.org/wiki/Piano_Sonata_No.15%2C_D.840_(Schubert%2C_Franz) ) currently does not have a tab for completions—in other works I've seen some listed under "Arrangements/Transcription...

Re: Muzio Clementi Symphonies 1-4 WoO 34, 35
Garland's facsimile of the manuscript of WoO 33 should be public domain but, as with many volumes in their The Symphony edition, I have no idea whether the facsimile would be readable or useful.
As for non-public domain editions and where to purchase them: WoO 32 & 35 here, to start with.

Piano Trio in A major attributed to Johannes Brahms, Anh. 4/5
I've obtained (not made myself) a good high quality scan of this piece, believed by its original editors to have been composed by Brahms sometime around 1853 and subsequently destroyed. Another potential author suggested has been Albert Dietrich, Brahms's collaborator on the F.A.E. Sonata. (See: htt...

Re: PDF size too large
Best results will be gained through converting the grayscale PDF file to individual black-and-white (1-bit) TIFF images, and then recombining those images into a new PDF. CCITT G4 offers lossless compression of 1-bit images, so that a 600dpi page comes out to about 100-200kB. There is no freeware I ...

Re: Prokofiev legal threat
The trouble is that in the view of the lawyer of Prokofiev's heirs, imslp is responsible if you download files that are not PD in your country. This is probably obvious to most people, but that's not how the law works to my knowledge—if you see our clearly marked red text stating "Non-PD US/No...

TPPA & new copyright periods?
People have been telling me that (presumably) due to TPPA, which is likely to pass despite public opinion, copyright laws are going to be tightened, among many other things. Canada is apparently going straight to life+70, and New Zealand to life+60? Or maybe both countries to life+70? Does anyone kn...

Re: 100,000
We seem to have hit 300,000 in the last day or two. Congrats to Jacques Aubert's Concert de symphonie, Suite No. 4.

Re: Difficulty downloading score from imslp.eu
Could be an ISP issue on my end as well. I'm on a university wireless network most of the time, and service is regularly interrupted leading to problems with downloads and so forth. I almost always get files from IMSLP by right-clicking, and tried in both Chrome and Firefox, neither successfully. I'...

Re: Difficulty downloading score from imslp.eu
Is there a download limit I should be aware of? I tried downloading this file http://imslp.org/wiki/File:PMLP57526-Berwald_Symphony_No.3_Singuliere_Baerenreiter_fs.pdf ; it downloaded 7.7 MB and then stopped. The next two files in sequence ( http://imslp.org/wiki/File:PMLP57526-Berwald_Symphony_No.3...

Re: Retypesets of partially blocked scores
Thanks.
I'll probably also have questions about whether the typeset is sufficiently high quality to be usable, but those will have to wait until I've actually done it and have something to upload.

Re: Scanning, editing, etc, on Mac; asking for advice
I tried that, as well as the method of downloading and "manually" installing the tarball, but neither one was successful. On closer inspection it does say the package is for Mountain Lion however, I'm still using Lion so perhaps that's the problem. I'll probably make further enquiries on I...

Re: Scanning, editing, etc, on Mac; asking for advice
I have DL'ed ImageMagick which is supposed to be good for image conversion and, if I can get it to work, will save me the reboot-in-Windows step. But (not being a particularly computer-literate individual, I'm afraid) I can't seem to do anything with it—I seem to be missing some "delegates"...

Retypesets of partially blocked scores
If I were to typeset a score PD in my country but non-PD US or EU, under what licence should it be uploaded, if any? Is it possible for it to be CC-licenced for the CA/NZ server but still indicated as under copyright elsewhere, or should it simply not be uploaded at all?
