Thanks for your answer, but in Photoshop, there is no place I know to compress CITT 4 ... when you have a tiff file, you can compress it jpeg or zip, and that's all... I'll continue to investigate anyway. and, for the B&W or gray scale, I'm sorry, but really grey scale is better, since B&W d...

Some data about copyright laws in France (at least)

Hi, Ive read again and again here something quite not correct about the copyright laws, at least, the way it is in France and probably also in some other Europeen countries... It is always said here that 50 years after the composer's death, the work is in PD, but in France, the time is: 70 years, PL...

Some questions about publisher's copyrights of PD music

Hi, I did post this somewhere else first, since I didn't know there was such a place as here, where it seems much more adequate for it to be... I've scanned the score + the solo parts and also the orchestral parts from an Ysaÿe's work, but I'd like some more data about the way things could have been...

About Edition copyrights

Hi, I've scanned a score, solo parts and orchestral parts from an Ysaÿe's work, but I'd like some more data about the way things could have been copyrighted. The score is the old one (composed in 1924) from « Les Éditions Ysaÿe » probably published before Ysaÿe's death (1931), and so present no prob...

OK, thanks...
it's anyway how it is now...
I only hope that Gabrijel83 will become aware of it sometimes, since he didn't give any signs yet of being here...

Well, thanks for the datum, Matthieu... I guessed it was about that period, since the picture on it looks very much like this period after Napoleon III... And don't bother to scan it, since it's done already... I spent the day now doing it and am just on the point to upload the PDF... I was just won...

Hello... I'm just finish with the Schumann parts, but, since it is the first time that I'm uploading some music here, I'd like to ask what to do with it. It is now as PDF (had to clean the files that were very yellowed from age, and were full of celotape), and I assembled separately the piano part a...

Well, Peters Edition is an edition society (one of the big ones), and, so far I know, still in the business today... I think that the music I have was edited at the real beginning of the century (on the back cover they advertise : "Mozart, Sonaten für Klavier u. Violine, Neue Ausgabe von Schnab...

Hi, I guess that is the first one ? I have it and could post it for you, but I may need to get it through Finale, since of course the music itself is PD, but the edition, even if really old, is from Peters...

Hi,
I'm not sure that he composed a mass nor miserere or sonatas, but there is a Requiem from him , 2 symph, about a dozen operas, and some incidental music for theater plays (one for Goethe's "Scherz, List und Rache") and also a ballet.
Unfortunately I don't have any of them

amazing for the Hummel book to be unavailable, since it became widely famous and wide spread between 1825 and 1835... I believe in fact that the modern way to play the trills by starting them with the real note (and not with the appogiatura) was a craze started just from 1825 and during the 5 or 6 n...

Well, the only problem (not the only one!) is that playing a concert need as much speed of reaction and reflexes than running a racing car full speed... and also need all the emotions to go into the music... Anyway, if you master those emotion correctly to fit them at the right time into your commun...
