They can play that to their family on the banjo if they want... As long you can read a score, you can transcribe it even for a saw or some spooky instrument like that. The score is needed, though...

I think smth must be done about this: to have all Mahler's symphonies up on IMSLP. Think of it: yes, it might be a colossal work to do this, but then again there will no be more " I want Mahler's x symphony" threads. There's smth going on about Mahler, hmm...

2009 has come. How soon will Daphnis post the scores?? I really can't wait.. I'd buy them scores but I don't find them in Romania and Mahler is my favorite one...

who can explain me what a dover score is?

i mean ... it might be the publisher , right? but why is it different than the others? or is it not? aren't there the same notes?

how do you decide when to write a symphony? i mean... how do you know what ideas to choose for it ? i'm rather curios. i find myself waking up and having some ideas in my head.. all well orchestrated and i can really hear the whole thing in my head, i write em down but then i can't find my way going...
