Re: Palestrina complete works.

Pml, Perlned, thanks for your replies. You really described the point clearly. Splitters or Lumpers. Personally I prefer to keep all pieces together because what I normally search is an edition not a piece of music (like when you buy a book you ask for Henle edition of Beethoven sonatas more than So...

Publisher catalogs and indexes

Hi Forum,
I am looking for old (e.g. early '900 or older) catalogs and indexes of music publishers.
Any ideas?

Thx

Re: Composer page does not exist with Josquin

Thanks all for the interesting discussion and the ideas.
Back to the original problem, I uploaded the pieces, but I had to change manually the Composer field from

Josquin+Desprez
to
Josquin_Desprez

I think it should be fixed. It can create some other troubles in the future

Re: collections upload

Hi, thanks for the answers. I still need some help let's take an example: I uploaded the Chorwerk 5 "Willaert and others: Italian Madrigals a 4-5 voices" under Willaert http://imslp.org/wiki/Italian_Madrigals_(Willaert,_Adrian) The volume contains 8 pieces: 2 by Willaert 1 by Verdelot 2 by...

collections upload

Hi all,
I would like to upload the serie Das Chorwerk. Several volumes contains more than one composer.
I would like to keep the book entire and not split the single piece, but on the other and provide a reference from each composer page.
Is it possible to link it?

Thanks in advance

Re: Wagner. Grosse Sonata in A. Non-PD Canada

Thanks. Copyright is really a complex subject.
About the Editio Princeps I understood the 50 years are granted only to editions published in Canada not in Europe.
However, next year it will be free.

If am not wrong NonPD-Canada should be based on the author's death + 50 Even considering t...

Re: Baerenreiter Frescobaldi and Gabrieli

Hi, thanks for the reply. Still I am a bit confused. from your email I understand all music published after 1923 is copyrighted in the independently where it was published . For instance the Toccatas published by Germani in 1951 on the same composer page (http://imslp.org/wiki/Toccate_e_Partite_d'In...
