PDF protection ?

Hi, everybody ! The Piano.ru Library has re-opened recently. They have tons of good stuff. I have found in this collection an edition of the Chopin Mazurkas. (There are other Chopin editions on this website, not all of them are on IMSLP). I don't know edition it is, but it is different from the ones...

Gradus ad parnassum by Fux

Hi, everybody !

Could anyone upload Fux's Gradus ad parnassum ?

This is not a score, more of a theory book (not sure this is the right place to post this). But there are some books already, so I think this one would be fine.

Thanks in advance.

BWV 825-830 from NBA

I have the keyboard Partitas (BWV 825-830) in the Bärenreiter edition. Richard Jones is the editor. I understand it has been first published in 1976 as it is stated here on Bärenreiter's website : https://www.baerenreiter.com/html/completeedi/Bach/gabach.htm#serie5 The 1976 date appears also in the ...

Re: Textual tradition of Well-Tempered Clavier, BGA?

Thanks worov, I didn't know the Book 1 autograph existed!

You are welcome.

However, I'm still looking for a way to save these images on my computer. If you know something, tell me. I'd be very interested.

Re: Textual tradition of Well-Tempered Clavier, BGA?

Bach's manuscript of Book II is not available. It's supposed to be lost.

Here's his autograph of Book I :

Re: Uncredited editors and arrangers

perlnerd666 said Sometimes it's actually quite difficult to find out who edited which volume in a Gesamtausgabe (i.e. Beethoven) Indeed, for the Beethoven Gesamtausgabe, the editors are never mentionned. I'm looking for the name of the editor of the piano sonatas and the strings quartets, but I can...

Re: Beethoven Piano Sonatas

Ok, this explains everything. I was not aware of these editorial politics.

Do you know if the new Peters edition by Barry Cooper is a "reprint"' of an old edition ?

Beethoven Piano Sonatas

Hi, everyobdy ! I have noticed lately something about the editions of the piano sonatas. The edition of Louis Köhler and Adolf Ruthardt, engraved by Peters looks very much like the edition of Max Pauer, revised by Carl Adolf Martienssen, engraved by Peters too. Have a comparison between these two. H...

I think this is the Ruthardt edition of Beethoven sonatas. Could anyone confirm or infirm this ?

Thank you.

Wikipedia says he died in 1935.

I don't if Wikipedia is right.

Re: Images from University of North Carolina

Below the zoom function, there is a button "resize the viewport to fit the browser window". It allows you to have a bigger resolution. Try to use it. Nice website. It has some Beethoven sonatas edited by Carl Czerny. Only three of them : opus 49 no 2, opus 27 no 2 and opus 13). I didn't kn...

Bach's autograph manuscript of WTC 1

Hi everybody. I have just seen that on the website of the Staatsbibliothek of Berlin (which owns the manuscript of the first book of the WTC), you can see the pages of the manuscript online. It has been digitized. Here is the link : http://www.bach-digital.de/receive/BachDigitalSource_source_0000136...

Re: J.S. Bach : French Suites

The problem is solved. The file has been uploaded by piupianissimo in PDF format. He has also posted the original Czerny engravings of inventions, Sinfonias, English suites and preludes for Clavichord which can be found at the website of the ?ód? University Library. By the way this library has also ...

J.S. Bach : French Suites

I have found the Czerny edition of the French Suites. I think it's a scan of the original Peters engraving (the Digital Library of University of Lodz have tons of old books). One problem : it's a DJVU file. I don't know how to convert into PDF, but I'm sure someone here can to do that. May I upload ...
