Transcribing work found on CPDL

I'd like to publish on IMSLP a transcription of this piece ( http://www1.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/Salvation_is_Created_%28Pavel_Chesnokov%29 ) (specifically CPDL #03377) for 6 cellos. It's licensed under the CPDL license ( http://www1.cpdl.org/wiki/index.php/ChoralWiki:CPDL ), which seems a bit exces...

Husband and wife violin duets cd?

Does anyone know of a cd with violin duets played by husband and wife? I'm looking for a gift for someone. I know of recordings on other instruments, but I'd like to find one with 2 violins. Thanks!

Source for first editions of Chopin nocturnes?

I see we have the first edition of Chopin's Op.9 on IMSLP--does anyone know where I can buy the rest of the nocturnes? I've found some urtexts, but I really like reading from first editions. Thanks!

Re: IMSLP Merchandise

a little late to the party... I finally decided to order the mug/t shirt combo, but then I saw that shipping to the US would equal the purchase price! Is there anywhere I can buy them in the US or anyone that has extras and could ship them to me? Likewise! I was about to buy the combo until I reali...

Re: FLAC/lossless recordings

IMSLP already supports FLAC; it is just not noted on the list. Thanks for the nice FLAC file of your Ballad for Saxophone! Excellent quality! Really nice piece too! (although I must say I like the slow part a little bit more...) BTW I saw the news piece about IMSLP on CBC--I now know how to pronoun...

Re: FLAC/lossless recordings

Playback support for FLAC in most mainstream hardware devices is variable, so higher-bitrate mp3 is probably the preferred option for maximum compatibility and interoperability, despite its obvious limitations compared to FLAC. Sorry to rain some flak on your parade. Cheers, PML You're right... was...

Re: New! Search by Melody

Awesome! How does it work??? The only way I can think of would be to OCR all of the scores...? Does it do any part, or just melody?

Is that intentional? I personally would love to see maybe a notice or something saying FLAC is the preferred format for recordings (if it is) in order to encourage more FLAC uploads.

FLAC/lossless recordings

I'm very happy to see some really nice recordings on IMSLP, most recently for example the Holberg Suite and Peer Gynt Suite for recorder ensemble (awesome!). I'd like to start downloading recordings like these (especially of complete works) and add them to my personal library on my computer, but I'm...

Is there an IMSLP form letter for such purposes? Otherwise, I can just email them myself.

Buxtehude Society scores

Hi, I found a few Buxtehude scores on the website of the International Dieterich Buxtehude Society. It looks like they are the editions Ton Koopman used in his recordings. Here is the text for those scores: Ton Koopman has recorded the complete works by Buxtehude. He makes available sheet music from...
