Re: First edition of Mozart's Fantasy KV 397

Thank you for your efforts, coulonnus. It would appear then, that it has not appeared online. Not living in Vienna, and unable to visit, I will try another approach.

Re: First edition of Mozart's Fantasy KV 397

That's a great addition, coulonnus. Thank you.

Are you having any luck finding the 1804 first edition? It is cited in all current Urtext editions, so it must be available somewhere.

First edition of Mozart's Fantasy KV 397

It was published by the Bureau des Arts et d'Industrie in 1804 and a copy is supposedly at the Austrian National Library. It would be good to have it at IMSLP being such a famous piece, with such a famous ending issue. And I need it for my research but can't manage to find it at the Austrian Nationa...

Bach's Corrected Copy of the Italian Concerto

I am looking for Bach's own corrected copy of the first edition of his Italian Concerto, which is part of his Clavier Ubung Part 2. I read that it has the following catalogue number in the British Museum Music Library: K.8.g.7. but so far I have been unable to access it there. Thank you. Edit: The B...

Re: Alternate Manuscript of Beethoven's op. 110

There is one additional item that might be added to IMSLP. It is the first version of the first movement of Beethoven's Piano Sonata op. 111 in the composer's hand. https://www.beethoven.de/en/media/view/5129936813686784/Ludwig+van+Beethoven%2C+Sonate+für+Klavier+%28c-Moll%29+op.+111%2C+1.+Satz%2C+A...

Alternate Manuscript of Beethoven's op. 110

There is an alternate autograph version of Beethoven's Piano Sonata op. 110 that contains the last movement only that might be added to IMSLP. At present, IMSLP has only the original autograph version that contains the complete sonata. Beethoven wrote this alternate version as a fair copy of the las...

J S Bach's Harpsichord works in Bischoff's edition

Hans Bischoff's edition of all of J. S. harpsichord works is one of the earliest Urtext editions and still one of the best available. It would be a very worthy addition to IMSLP in two forms: the original German edition and the first version published by Kalmus with English translation of the extens...

Re: First editions of Mozart's Piano Sonatas

Did you have a look at the pre-1800 edition Now I understand the problem and can answer your question, coulonnus. Yes, I did have a look and I am actively using that edition, which is the first edition that you added. Thank you again for doing that. However, I also would like to see the later editi...

Re: First editions of Mozart's Piano Sonatas

Thanks for checking on that, coulonnus. I am looking for K. 279 (revised Koechel number 189d) in the Andre edition published by Offenbach in 1841. This later edition is apparently based on the lost autograph rather than the first edition (which has a lot of editorial additions and changes). Is that ...

Re: First editions of Mozart's Piano Sonatas

That's very good of you, coulonnus. I'm now looking for the Andre edition of Mozarts K. 279, published by Offenbach in about 1841 (publication no. 6427).
It contains perhaps the earliest source of the first movement, since the autograph of this movement was lost in the 19th century.
