A lot of bassoonists play cello music, and there is a Franz Xaver Neruda (1843-1915), who wrote quite a lot for cello, and his mazurkas might make a nice Romantic addition to your recital (and IMSLP has some of them). Mozart's a great piece, but somehow I won't play it in my recital. I think it's quite boring (since every bassoon concert I know plays Mozart).

Saint-Saens' Sonata is beautiful, and also there is an Romance by Elgar. Galliard sonatas make for a great Baroque start, but the edition IMSLP has is with unrealized basso continuo.
