Re: Submitting typeset for existing scan using Performance Restricted Attribution Non-commercial No Derivatives 1.0
Got it, I understand we will not grandfather such pieces in. But that aside, and out of my curiosity and for my own education, are you able to point to any authoritative sources or any documentation which support the claims you're making? Any prior precedent in which a typeset, made with permission,...

Re: Submitting typeset for existing scan using Performance Restricted Attribution Non-commercial No Derivatives 1.0
Ok, I understand. But would we not consider that a typeset of a preexisting piece which has already been licensed in this manner would be grandfathered in? Submitting new pieces of music is well understood that that ability has been deprecated and removed. Is this a derivative? No, it is not an edit...

Re: Submitting typeset for existing scan using Performance Restricted Attribution Non-commercial No Derivatives 1.0
Can you point me to where this is documented so I can pass it along to the copyright holder? It is not mentioned on the Subscriptions page nor any other page I can find.we only allow non-free licenses such as this for specifically verified PRO members

Re: Submitting typeset for existing scan using Performance Restricted Attribution Non-commercial No Derivatives 1.0
you'd need to prove that there is permission granted to distribute a typeset. I have written permission from the copyright holder (composer's daughter) to typeset these pieces. But, further, how is typesetting them and uploading them to the exact same location as the original content considered red...

Re: Selecting a non-commercial license
Thanks for the feedback. Can you provide any sort of example they could follow, if they wish, which would allow us to have their scores uploaded?

Re: Submitting typeset for existing scan using Performance Restricted Attribution Non-commercial No Derivatives 1.0
Although the point is probably moot, can you direct me to any authoritative source which states that a typeset of a manuscript (not an edition or arrangement) would be considered a derivative?

Please take a look at the sample I have added here to ensure the details and license are appropriate.

Submitting typeset for existing scan using Performance Restricted Attribution Non-commercial No Derivatives 1.0
The Performance Restricted Attribution Non-commercial No Derivatives 1.0 license type is another one which was deprecated, but is there an exception when uploading typesets for an existing scanned work which has already been assigned this license? If not, then I take it users will not be able to upl...

Selecting a non-commercial license
Since we have deprecated use of the Creative Commons non-commercial license derivatives, are we able to upload typesets of otherwise public domain works (?) where the author wishes the content to only be available for non-commercial purposes? More context: The Erkki Melartin Society has produced bea...

Re: Modifying commercial recording links on a work page
It's manually matched but there isn't really a mechanism for changing matched entries yet, are there many of these? If not maybe I can manually change them in the database. I have only been told of two. Both concern Florent Schmitt. The Op. 11 Prélude is apparently incorrect and should point to htt...

Modifying commercial recording links on a work page
Do we have any moderator tools to modify/change the commercial recordings associated with a given work page? I received a report of some inaccurate recordings being listed for a given work and wondering if we can manually override those if they're automatically assigned.

Re: Grigoras Dinicu, Hora Staccato
It's unclear what the original version is for. Is it violin solo? If so, and if it was published within the past 50 years, it would (or should) at least be public domain in Canada. It looks to me like Heifetz arranged this for violin and piano and so any versions for that combination (which represen...

Re: Honegger Cello Concerto, Piano Score Request
This is something I'll be getting to at some point, but it isn't on the immediate list. Yes, the piano reduction appears to be public domain in Canada only.
