Re: Dancla op. 63 violin duo.

Sorry to resurrect an old topic, but I stumbled upon this piece the same way as Diane. According to the duo's website, the piece they're playing in that youtube is actually Dancla's op. 64, no. 1. So I'm really quite interested in op. 64. The link provided by coulonnus is now dead and it appears the...

I'm also interested in this. According to WorldCat, only a library in Denmark has it:

Re: Benjamin Godard violin concerto №2

Hello. Thank you for Godard! It has long been looking for this product. Daphnis, Could you please also look scores O. Respighi violin concerto "All Antica" and the concerto № 1 Karol Lipinski for violin and piano? Nowhere did I find scores of these works. Can you see anywhere these works?...

Re: Bach double violin concerto viola part

I have a related question that would mostly solve this issue: When people post their own typesetting, why can they not also post the raw file from which they made the .pdf? I frequently try to play cello pieces on my violin (Haydn concertos, etc.), and many of these pieces have a creative commons ty...

Re: FAE sonata by Schumann Brahms Dietrich-collaborative wor

While I'm not a copyright expert, I believe the Intermezzo wasn't published until 1935, unlike Brahms' movement which was published earlier. Therefore, the Intermezzo would certainly not be in the public domain at least in the United States. I don't know about Canada.

Re: Reinhold Gliere's Duos for Two Violins, Op. 49?

I'm glad this piece didn't get stuck in copyright red tape. It's really lovely.

Also, not to sound greedy, but is Gliere's Duos for Violin and Cello also PD?

Reinhold Gliere's Duos for Two Violins, Op. 49?

Does anyone have Gliere's duos for two violins, Opus 49? I'd love to play it with a friend. Thanks.

Haydn Violin Concertos

I'm looking for Michael Haydn's Violin Concerto in Bb major, P53. I heard a recording of it by Baiba Skride. It's terrific and charming. I'm most interested in the violin solo part, but I'd be ecstatic to also see a piano reduction. Additionally, Joe Haydn's Violin Concerto in A major should also be...

Currently, complete orchestral parts and the full score are all available. Does anyone have access to a PD copy of the solo part to upload? Thanks!

Re: Respighi - Violin Concerto (Concerto all'Antica)

Thanks for the suggestions. You folks have been pretty helpful.

I have one hypothetical question though-- suppose I were to buy the study score. If I then did my own typesetting of individual parts, would I be able to upload those to IMSLP since the work was written over 100 years ago?

Re: Respighi - Violin Concerto (Concerto all'Antica)

What exactly are you after here? From your first posted it looked like the piano reduction with solo part, which, as cstesibius said, is available from MusiGramma with the full score available from MPH. The link above is to Respighi's unfinished concerto in la maggiore (A major). The concerto I'm l...

Re: Respighi - Violin Concerto (Concerto all'Antica)

I contacted Ricordi and they said the parts are only available for rental, not purchase. When I found the study score for the piece previously, the publishers of the study score listed Editioni Bongiovanni as a source for parts to the concerto. I sent an e-mail to both contacts on their website and ...

Re: Two violin

There's a Holst concerto for two violins. It's public domain in Canada, so it could be uploaded to IMSLP. There's always Navarra by Sarasate. I have many recordings of it being performed by two violins and orchestra. You'd have to be super amazing at violin to pull that off though. There might be so...
