Has she tried learning the first movement of Appassionata? I believe that movement is more dark and passionate than the third movement, which is moreso a virtuoso ending. Chopin's "Winter Wind" Etude, Debussy's "Estampes," and Ondine by Ravel are all pretty fast and fun pieces that I enjoy.
