Re: Scherzo Op. 20/3 Orchestrated by Mendelssohn

Thanks. A couple of questions:

1.) What is WC?

and

2.) Is there any online sources or online copies I could find?

Thanks again.

Scherzo Op. 20/3 Orchestrated by Mendelssohn

Does anyone know if the orchestration by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy of the Scherzo movement from his own String Octet Op. 20, which he used to replace the 3rd movement of his Symphony No. 1 in c Op. 11 in the London premiere on 25 May 1829, is in PD? If so, where could I find a copy?

Thank you,

Denkmäler der Tonkunst in Bayern

How could one create in IMSLP a Template for the following?:

Denkmäler Deutscher Tonkunst, II. Folge: Denkmäler der Tonkunst in Bayern

All there is thus far is Folge I (Denkmäler Deutscher Tonkunst).

Re: BSB Copyright Claims Removal

OK. Have downloaded and checked it to see if it works. It does. Now, how does one with that software eliminate the aforementioned Copyright claims?

How would I go about removing the copyright claims from files I get from the BSB, Google, etc.?

Re: Emanuel Bach's Die letzten Leiden des Erlösers H. 776

Also, the Einleitung (Overture) on IMSLP listed under the title of "Die Auferstehung und Himmelsfahrts Jesu" TWV 6: 6 is in reality the Einleitung (Overture) to the Passion Cantata "Der Tod Jesu" TWV 5: 6.

Re: Emanuel Bach's Die letzten Leiden des Erlösers H. 776

Here is a link to the principal manuscript score for the work (title page in an unknown hand, score in the hand of Carl Friedrich Christian Fasch, son of Johann Friedrich Fasch and Zelter's teacher and predecessor as Director of the Sing-Akademie zu Berlin (which he founded): http://www.bach-digital...

Emanuel Bach's Die letzten Leiden des Erlösers H. 776

The info on IMSLP for Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach's Passion Cantata Die letzten Leiden des Erlösers, Wq.233 (H.776) is erroneous. Here is the correct info: | *****WORK INFO***** |Work Title=Die letzten Leiden des Erlösers |Alternative Title=Du Göttlicher |Opus/Catalogue Number=Wq.233 ; H.776 |Key=Es-D...

Re: Christmas Concerti

Here is another request for Vivaldi concerti for IMSLP:

RV 270 Full Score/Manuscript

RV 813 (RV Anh. 10) Full Score/Manuscript

The latter is the original for Bach's transcription BWV 979 (it is also believed to have been composed by Giuseppe Torelli).

Re: Christmas Concerti

Question 3:

In the score and performance of Gounod's Faust, where does the Ballet music occur (where is it performed)?

Re: Christmas Concerti

Here is another question:

The 4-Act version of Rossini's Barber of Seville on IMSLP, whence did it originate (year, date (if known), performance venue and first performance date, etc.)? Anything I have seen about it states that it is a 2-Act opera.

Re: Christmas Concerti

A quick question:

I noticed that Michel Rondeau's treatments of the Trumpet Concerto S. 49 by Johann Nepomuk Hummel forget the parts for the two Bassoons. Could someone post these on IMSLP, please?

Re: Christmas Concerti

Still, supposedly, the movement 19a was also published in the Jurgenson version as an appendix as well, but was not included in the uploads (only movement 20a was) in IMSLP. Even at what you said about the Tchaikovsky-Drigo-Petipa version (Modest Tchaikovsky had a hand in it as well), would it be po...
