I have a related idea. I think I'm not the only one who has music with incomplete or missing publisher information, and I am hesitant to upload these scores in case they aren't PD. Could there be an area where the less experienced (and less knowledgeable) uploaders can put music to be checked by oth...

Removing Files
Are non-admins allowed to delete files? There are two scores that need to be deleted. 1. Dvorak Symphony No.8 Complete Score (this is a duplicate - the same score is now split into files by movement) 2. Brahms Concerto for Violin and Cello, the file at the bottom of the page. This contains the Elibr...

Viotti Violin Concerto No.23
I'm about to upload the Viotti Violin Concerto No.23 from notes.tarakanov.net to IMSLP, but I can't tell for sure if it's public domain. I assume it is in Russia, since it's on the site...does that necessarily mean it's okay for IMSLP?

Another problem is that for some of the scores, it's hard to tell if they're in the public domain. Some from the wishlist are the Wieniawski Scherzo-Tarantelle under notes.tarakanov.net/violin.htm, which needs the Elibron logo removed, or Schubert Symphony No.5 Score at the bottom of the Symphony Or...

notes.tarakanov.net
There are hundreds of scores here. Many of them are foreign, but most are high quality and all are free to download. I don't know which scores follow public domain regulations for which countries, but many of the scores are clearly public domain and are missing from IMSLP. If IMSLP could acquire the...

Kreisler
How much of Kreisler's music is PD. I can't find any information on publishing dates. I notice none of it is on IMSLP, is that why?

Finding PD Music
Where does everyone get all of this PD music? The only place I can find it is on this site and Mutopia/SheetMusicFox.
Also, if anyone finds a PD copy of Brahms's Piano Quartet No.3 in C Minor (preferably with parts), I would be eternally grateful if you could put it on IMSLP.

Symphony Parts
There are a lot of symphonic full scores on IMSLP, but a shortage of individual parts. I realize that parts take up a lot of time and space, but for those of us who want to play the music, they are much more useful. Anyway, if you have the parts to those symphonies, maybe scanning them in might be p...
