In Italy a new retypesetting , that is like the original (urtext) without adding a slur is protected for 25 years.All kind of new printed editions are protected for 25 years . I don't now in other nations....

If IMSLP is a huge work I think people that dedicate full time to it must be paid! and adverts can supply money...and not only for employers...

About Editio Musica Budapest I remember that Carolus said, more or less (about a Paganini album),all before 1980 is PD.
Is it true also if the composer is still alive?
