Re: Debussy: Tarentelle Styrienne and Marche Ecossaise

To my knowledge, the tarentelle (orch. by Ravel) is only available available through rental from Jobert (Lemoine in fact). Since it is not PD in France, the chance to see it on IMSLP is quite small in the near future ...

Debussy: Tarentelle Styrienne and Marche Ecossaise

I am looking for the orchestral parts of two orchestral pieces by Debussy, that could be great additions to the library : - Marche Ecossaise (composed in 1890 for piano, orchestrated by Debussy 1893-1908) first edited by Fromont (1911) and later reprinted by Jobert. - Tarantelle Styrienne (composed ...

Chabrier : Suite Pastorale

Hi all, I recently added the subset of parts I have (only Bassons 1/2, Horn 1/2, Violin 1 et 2, Violas and Cellos) for the Suite Pastorale by E. Chabrier (Paris: Enoch & Cie., 1896. Plates E. & C. 3202 (1)). It would be great if we could get the whole set of orchestral parts. Does anyone has...

Re: Jean Huré, violin sonata (1920)

Good !

Why should the String Quartets be blocked ? I requested/upoladed the second one from Sibley (1921). Has the first one been late published ?

Re: Jean Huré, violin sonata (1920)

Thanks for the perfect scan.

For those interested in (discovering) this music, a very nice recording (also including the quintet) just came out (see http://www.timpani-records.com/)

Jean Huré, violin sonata (1920)

I would be extremely grateful to anyone who could digitize and post to IMSLP the violon sonata by Jean Huré (1877-1930), published by A. Zunz Mathot in 1920.
Thanks in advance,
Matthieu

! means "permission granted" and the connection between typesetter and Resnek is far from beeing established in this case. On the other hand, a "N" alone tag would not be correct since the contribution does contain significant editorial content. A "C" tag seems fair to ...

(iv) Is there an automatic way to do that in Photoshop, or do you have to find the correction angle manually ?

Daphnis, (i) the driver of my scanner may have been responsible for the fuzzy resolutions, because it is not an expensive one. But after check, my tiff files are really 1bit 600dpi. Definitely, this comes from acrobat and its mass of half hidden options. (ii) thanks for this good point. (iii) here I...

Actually, it is not at all grayscale, but B&W (1bit) at @600dpi. The grayscale aspect probably comes from the method I use: (i) scan pages B&W@600dpi (stored to tiff files) (ii) crop each page to remove useless margins (and the amount of bitmap data) (iii) transform to pdf (acrobat) (iv) use...

Chausson: Concert for piano, violin and string quartet

The Concert for piano, violin and string quartet in D major, Op.21 by Ernest Chausson is one of the most important and beautiful french chamber music pieces of the late 19th century.
Anyone as access to the score and parts ?
