Re: Quality of my scans?

Try to convince Feldmahler and Carolus, that this rating system should be canceled!

Re: Research Question - An Adagio for String Quartet attributed to Beethoven

A very vague hint: There is an Adagio in the Staatsbibliothek Berlin (compare https://opac.rism.info/search?id=1001022888) from Beethovens friend
Nikolaus Zmeskall. Maybe the authorship of this music was not clear in 1934.

Re: Instrumentation listing for Heinichen sonatas

You speak from the sonatas S.266 in c minor(not S.224) and S.263 in F major, i think. Both sonatas are tagged for oboe and violin as well, so you will find them in the categories "oboe, continuo" and "violin, continuo". The F-Dur sonata has RISM entries for oboe and violin, the c...

Re: Palestrina - Motettorum quatuor vocibus, liber secundus. [including 'Sicut Cervus', 'Super flumina babylonis']

We do have these motets in a new edition here: http://imslp.org/wiki/Motecta_festorum_ ... rluigi_da)
(After clicking on this link, you will perhaps have to augment a bracket on the right hand side of the url).

If you will have a look at the beginning of this thread, you will see, that i formerly had attention to just these "milestones" you are talking about. But the file, which has been the 100000th for example, will loose this property because of the deletions. The file numbers #...... stay con...

Re: 100,000

We reached #500000 now, half a million! The score with this number is Oboe 1 of a Harmoniemusik for Franz Xaver Sterkels Ouverture No.2 in C major. Sterkel is a german composer, nearly as famous as Mozart, Haydn or Beethoven in his times. For Sterkel , see http://www.sterkel-gesellschaft.org/de/

Re: What is IMSLP's definition of a collection?

That´s strange. Following Carolus´ argumentation, the 4 harp sonatas are a collection, because each of them could be performed as a single work.
We should really clarify this issue.

Did you try the "Extract parts" button on the right side of the header, hidden behind a certain circle like symbol?

Re: Vanhal - concerto for 2 bassoons and orchestra - parts and full score

Not Vivaldi, but Vanhal. There is a concerto for 2 bassoons in F major, published by Musica rara in 1985 , now Breitkopf. Not in their catalog. A version for two bassoons and piano can be achieved here http://www.musicarara.com/. Added: For hire: http://www.hofmeister-musikverlag.com/konzert-fur-2-f...

Re: Links have disappeared on the George Onslow page

Your summary of the rules is quite correct, i think. If we only have single works of an existing collection, but not all of them, i would not establish a collection page. Onslow Op.11 has been downloaded from BNF and Op.11No.3 is a part of it. On the description of BNF we find Maurice Schlesinger (P...

Re: Links have disappeared on the George Onslow page

Yes, that´s it: The publisher made a collection of three single sonatas, if they got an opus number or not is irrelevant. RISM also treats works which appeared in the same edition as a collection, mostly they do have opus numbers. The collection idea is at IMSLP not from the very beginning, and ther...
