I fail to see how Mr Irons is going to attempt to control what and how people say things. In my country, unless something spoken or written is in direct conflict with or threatens national security or is considered slanderous or libellous, people have the right, and that right is called freedom of e...

Just wondering how far lower will they stoop? It surprises me even further that Mr Irons is still working for UE.

Just goes to show that this is degenerating into a farce on Irons and UE's part. With nothing substantial, they're just resorting to cheap claims so untrue it's laughable. I've already PMed Feldmahler my private thoughts about this.

If I'm not mistaken, the scans of the Brandenburg concerto no. 3 in the Free Sheet Music website are from the sheet music book published by Dover - The Brandenburg Concertos and the Four Orchestral Suites, which in turn is a reprint of the out of copyright edition originally published by the Bach Ge...

Has it occured to Mr Irons or UE that the sending of the C and D letter to IMSLP in the first place is "characteristically flawed" as well?

If you can afford it, you might want to consider a more recent edition published by Baerenreiter under the Neue Bach Ausgabe (New Bach Edition) of the Brandenburg Concerto.

Hi, I don't know if this helps, but my piano also made a strange sound when a certain note is struck. I found that the problem is caused by the friction between the note and the notes on either side of it when the note is struck. So you may want to check if the notes are too close together to the po...

Hmm, is it possible that UE and their lawyers have screwed up big time? Maybe they sent the C and D letter too hastily, without considering the long term consequences, not to mention their PR. Also, mispelling the entity/organization they were accusing of copyright breaches, whether intentional or n...

Hmm, I thought the Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini is PD in the USA. This is because I own a copy of the score which was printed by Edwin F. Kalmus, which in turn was a reprint of the score previously published by Belwin Mills (this name appears on the footer). Unless I'm mistaken or there is a spec...

Apologies if this is off topic, but after Carolus's mention of attempted vandalisms on IMSLP, will the new IMSLP be equipped with mechanisms to safeguard itself against these kinds of vandalisms in the future?

Hi ArticWind7 and Carolus, Perhaps Homer was suggesting somewhere along the lines of banners that must be related to printed music or links to other public domain score sites such as the Choral Public Domain Library? I guess this model would be similar to the one SheetMusicPlus.com employed, where t...

Hmm, I sort out half expected this. Seems that UE are not serious at all in their claims, and without doing their homework, it seems that their ploy has somehow backfired and they are retreating. But I seriously doubt we have heard the last of them though.
