Copyright status of Cesk Zadeja's pieces
I came across several of Cesk Zadeja's pieces on IMSLP; this surprised me, because he died in 1997. Not only are the pieces on IMSLP, but they're also under some very free licenses. Have Zadeja's heirs freed all his works, or only the ones currently on IMSLP?

Question about Dohnanyi's Nursery Theme Variations, op.25
I notice that in the Stefan von Hodula arrangement, the introduction (which in the original is for the orchestra only) is arranged for two pianos. Are there any other similar changes to the piece (such as other sections arranged to be played by two pianos, instead of only one)? Can the arrangement b...

Re: Hisatada Otaka Flute Concert(in)o
Thank you for answering my questions. When I asked about the legality of performing those copyrighted editions of his pieces on Worldcat, I was referring to his pieces in general. I can't perform this particular piece; I was just asking if anyone knew if there were any PDFs of it online. You see, I ...

Re: Hisatada Otaka Flute Concert(in)o
So if I understand you correctly, the copyrighted scores they offer are only for viewing.

Re: Hisatada Otaka Flute Concert(in)o
Thank you very much for taking the trouble to search the piece.
I didn't know about Worldcat; it looks like a very useful site! Can the downloadable scores be used for performances, or are they copyright-restricted(the ones after 1950, I mean)?

Hisatada Otaka Flute Concert(in)o
Hello,
Does anyone know if there are any scans of this piece? I coudn't find any PDFs online.
There isn't much information on the composer on the web, but apparently he died in 1951 so it should be public domain in Canada.

How can I find scores with instrument markings?
I've been looking at orchestral scores on Amazon, and one review of a score of one of Dvorak's symphonies remarked that it had no instrument markings.
As most scores don't have previews, and supposing the edition is not on IMSLP, or it has no instrument markings, is there any way to know?
