Order of recordings and scores
I'm not sure how long this has been the case, perhaps for ever, but the work pages present recording ("Performances"), followed by scores ("Sheet music"). This seems not the natural order to me. Of course it is great that the are recordings available, but IMSLP stands for "I...

Statistics on key signatures
I am looking for statistics on key signatures, specifically to compare the frequency of enharmonic minors like Db and C#. Is there currently any way of extracting this info from the imslp collection? (Apologies if there is and I just missed it.)
TIA,
Brian Chandler

Numerals in titles
Normal publishing practice requires that a title such as "Six pieces" is written like that, with the number in words. IMSLP seems to resolutely ignore this rule -- is there a principled reason for this? Personally I find things like "6 pieces in 2 volumes" make me shudder.

Re: International names pronuntiation IDEA
I think this is a very good idea, though I quibble with your title. It isn't really anything "international" that is needed, rather the *original* pronunciation of the name by the composer and peers. So for example, it would be nice to hear how a Czech speaker pronounces Dvorak and Fibich ...

Re: Simple Duets
There is a delightful set of variations by Mozart, K501, which is not technically terribly difficult (though there are black bits you need to practice). I first met it on a CD set of Argerich playing all sorts of things with other people... http://imslp.org/wiki/5_Variations_in_G_major,_K.501_(Mozar...

Re: Captcha problems?
Well, I got it to work eventually, though I am not entirely certain how.
I still think it would greatly help if there were rather more explanation of what is expected: what do these people mean by a "word"? Just a random sequence of characters?

Captcha problems?
I cannot seem to edit pages -- I'm logged in, and I am trying to add a Wikipedia bio link for Johann August Just. Despite >10 attempts, always get the message: "Some parts of the edit form did not reach the server; double-check that your edits are intact and try again." The "Captcha&q...

Re: Where to submit errata?
I've fixed the clarinet errata to add the natural and sharp signs, but I can't work out your second horn erratum. What symbol do you mean? On my screen (this is a font issue), it's coming up as "C♭A should be CA♭". Do you also think the voicing should be reversed? The natural sign is on t...

Re: Where to submit errata?
I think what he means is the field called "Misc. Notes". ... I added a note to the page : http://imslp.org/wiki/The_Nutcracker_%28ballet%29,_Op.71_%28Tchaikovsky,_Pyotr%29 I couldn't even see how to insert a newline, so the result is not very neat. I think that really speaking a systemati...

Re: Where to submit errata?
A good place to begin would be the Edition Notes for the corresponding IMSLP #. If the error is not clear-cut, or there are numerous errors that would be awkward to describe in brief, use the Edition Notes to make a note directing users to the work's Talk page, and put all of the discussion there. ...

Re: Transposing horn notation
Many thanks -- that explains everything! (I exaggerate, but not much) My current project is to arrange the Finale and Apotheosis at the end of the Nutcracker for two pianos. So many things have just become possible in a way they never were -- access to full scores of anything written before the copy...
