Re: Air Russe Varie, Op.17 by Louise Farrenc

Hrm. Unfortunately BSB and Gallica have other works by her but not these. It was first published by 1836 so it's in the public domain, and paying for it without a ****** good reason is something we've gotten too used to. (At least some modern editions are still actually critical.) The French Nationa...

Re: Rusalka Dvorak Scores

I'm going to just randomly guess this is a jp2-produced PDF from Internet Archive... the best way in that case would be for someone to patiently download the source jp2 files, reprocess them into another image format, and create and upload another PDF. JP2s do not good PDFs make, in my honest opinio...

Re: Publisher: Gaveaux (frères) or Frères Gaveaux?

I'd suggest sorting under Gaveaux as less generic, just as we use Hug rather than Gebrüder Hug, but!

Re: F. Busoni - Canonic Variations & Fugue, BV B40

it was also published as #2 of "Zwei Kontrapunkt-Studien für Klavier : nach Joh. Seb. Bach"- Worldcat shows several listings. (The Hathitrust version is limited, which doesn't make much sense since it was first published in 1917 and there's nothing, afaik, PD-CA or PD-EU about it. Ah well.)

Re: Vocalises

The Messiaen was published ©1935 by Alphonse Leduc it seems, the Milhaud (op.105) by them in 1929. Tailleferre - same ©1929 Leduc.

Ok, zapping data, logging in, downloading a score, pressing scores, still crashes...

3-3: seems fixed now.

Re: Android app in version for Fire released

About yesterday's update, for some reason it seems now tapping the Scores tab in the app crashes it?
Clearing cache in Fire Settings wasn't sufficient, may have to try zapping data, but it does feel like a bug.

Re: Copyright status, Telemann concerto

People’s interest does seem to taper off sometimes though when attribution moves elsewhere- eg: “Mozart’s 12th mass” was once quite popular and themes from it the source of many variations sets but now we know it’s not by Mozart, no one’s heard of it under any name. Re RISM I recommend using the per...

Re: Taking requests for reconstructing scores from parts

In all there are 7 or so, and there is already a project to create performing scores and parts of her symphonies and other works (which probably provided the impetus and perhaps donation for SBB to scan the performing material in the first place.) In some cases she and her organization have already ...

I hear you. Also, I think I got the key wrong. (I'll just create a Google Doc as I ordinarily would :))

Re: Melody search not working?

I thought so, then I noticed that my browser was trying to launch a pop-up and quietly asking my permission. Once I gave it the same, everything proceeded as usual.
