Raff "Allegretto" in G major for piano trio
Recently, a posthumously-published "Raff Allegretto" in G major for piano trio was uploaded, duly tagged, etc. I see it occurred to nobody to see if Raff :wrote any works for piano trio (.. 4 whole trios) :if any of them contained any movements in G major (bing! no.2 -is- in G major) :if w...

Re: HANDEL SONATA FOR TWO CELLOS (PIANO
Could you please provide the details about the arrangement you want beyond the last name of the arranger (full name, publisher, publication date might be nice, but something more would be good) , as these are, after all, arrangements...

Re: William Grant Still needs a composer entry
The symphony will be public domain in the US only in 6 years (having been published in 1935.) If other works of his were published in the US in 1929 or earlier and are digitized and ready for upload, or if arrangements by him or works by others he edited (that are public domain somewhere), likewise,...

Re: Pancho Vladigerov, Piano Trio in B-flat minor, Op. 4 (1916)
Composed in 1916 does not imply public domain in the US. PD-US isn't based on composition date, but on the date of first US publication - if it's 96 or more years ago, we're good; if less, probably not but there are exceptions based on, for example, whether or not the publisher properly renewed the ...

Re: Using the IMSLP app as my personal library
You may want to consider applying the CC rules to your works rather than copyright, as is standard for all works by living people uploading their own music to IMSLP, I believe... "Hey, the main function of IMSLP is to store public domain scores" isn't quite true- there's a very large numbe...

Re: Karel Reiner Sonata for Bass and Piano
His op.1 was published in 1933 ("9 veselých improvisací 9 lustige Improvisationen = 9 gaies improvisations : piano a 2 ms", by Hudební), according to Worldcat, but I don't see this work in the 1933 or 1934 Catalog of Copyright Entries. Even if I'm wrong, it won't be too long, if the law he...

Re: Problems with Johann Christoph Bach (1671-1721) data
So the only way to make pages with the same name on here that is still different between each other is adding a occupation next to there last name, which is possible to do now on here. or something like "the elder" (but including full birth and death year when that information is already ...

Re: Schumann Violin Concerto (FPE/Schott) - public domain?
NB. Since Schünemann died in 1945, his works fell out of Canadian copyright way back in 1996. That +70 rule only applies in Canada to composers, arrangers and translators (it applies to some editors and not others, depending on country and the type of editorial work done) as of a few years ago and f...

Re: Saverio Mercadante Flute Concerto in e-minor
I'm not sure, but it may not have been published before 1973 by Suvini Zerboni. I may be wrong, though. Not sure what that says about public domain status in Europe (it's almost definitely a no in the US, and I'm thinking quite possibly a no in Canada too, especially for any piano reductions where t...

Re: Lilypond INCIPIT codes
Nope, no misunderstanding, I know what the OP is talking about.
There is a Lilypond command \break
that’s the only other thing I can think of here. See
https://lilypond.org/doc/v2.23/Document ... e-breaking.

Re: Using scores that are "n.d."
Addendum: sometimes uploaders write "n.d." inaccurately for excerpts from collections when the published collection score itself has a definite copyright, but the published section (a selection of pages from -within the score-) does not.
Re: Clara
I have my own question about Clara, for that matter. Ever since I've switched over to DuckDuckGo browser on my iPhone, IMSLP links from search engines e.g. open in Clara by default. This is irritating and annoying, as Clara is, not to be especially or more blunt than necessary, absolutely worse than...

Category Walker logic issue
When I want to e.g. intersect "Scores published by (someone)" and "Scores not engraved by Engelmann & Mühlberg" (for example), the category walker always gets hung up on that ampersand, possibly treating it as a logical & (and stopping there, since it seems that category ...
