I went to see what's up on scribd by curiosity.
I browse my own name and find seven guitar scores that I've edited and posted in on IMSLP. And those are clearly mentioned "Creative Commons Attribution Non-commercial 3.0".
I don't know what to think about that 'cause if I want to download those files I have too pay a fee, which is prohibited by the CC as far as I understand ?
Do I have the right to ask them to delete my work ?

Re: Scribd
Pleeeaaase provide me with the URL of at least one of your guitar scores on scribd, so I can understand the situation. The http://scribd.com site looks awfully messy to me!

Re: Scribd
Thanks for the links. I also found some of my retypeset scores on scribd. It is not that you have to pay a fee to download a specific score, but to subscribe to this site. So the situation is perhaps complicated. Note that Facebook is more or less accomplice - Fr. acoquiné - with Scribd.

Re: Scribd
All I can recommend is to say downloaded from http://imslp.org at each page of your retypeset scores. See e.g. http://fr.scribd.com/doc/145643947/Clemen-71. The enthusiast who uploaded it on scripd didn't remove this.

Re: Scribd
As long as they are not charging anything to download the scores - as opposed to a general subscription fee - they are probably in compliance with the cc license. They place you really need to watch is Ebay. There are scores of folks there who essentially download items from IMSLP, burn to CDs or DVDs, and sell them. Doing this is very definitely a violation of the terms of the cc non-commercial license. Plain-vanilla cc license allows them to sell as much as they like as long as they keep your name on it (= attribution).

Re: Scribd
I have modified the scribd paragraph on http://imslp.org/wiki/IMSLP:Other_music_score_websites, without being too verbose. Judging by some other imslpforums posts about Scribd I found, it seems scribd had more qualities in the past!
