I'd like to ask if the book "Die Gesangskunst der Kastraten" by Franz Haböck, Universal Edition, 1923 is in the public domain.
Franz Haböck died in 1921, the book was printed in 1923, and the source composers were from the 18th century, so, to me, it's absolutely in the public domain, but then again, I'm a little confused, as Universal Edition continues to reprint it, and if you check their website, they have a license request and approval for reprints, so, don't really know and that's why I'm asking.
