Incantation Pour Un Jour Saint - Jean Langlais

I'm confused about copyright for this piece--Incantation Pour Un Jour Saint--by Jean Langais. It was published in Switzerland in 1954 by Editions Schola Cantorum, and Langlais only died in 1991, so it would seem to be copyrighted.

The confusion is that Masters Music currently publishes it in a reprint edition, M3173. It seems that it should have gotten it's copyright restored in 1996 if it had not been renewed since it would have still been under copyright in it's original country as Langlais had only died 5 years prior.

Any thoughts? If it weren't under copyright, I'd love to upload it--I just don't see how it could be PD.

Thanks,
Marc Cerisier

The window for "restoration" was only for 2 years (1996-1998). NIE claims filed after 1998 might not be enforceable. If the work was published without notice in 1954 or there was no renewal field in 1982, it could still be free in the USA. Whatever the case, Langlais is very much protected in Canada, so it cannot be posted here.
