Scores by composers (PD) with annotations by conductors

I have access to some scores of russian music (mostly "main stream" works) with annotations by the conductor Issay Dobrowen (d. 1953). Could be interesting for some folks. Can I scan and upload these scores?

It really depends upon the nature of the annotations. If they qualify as 'original' contributions by Dobrowen, there is a possible copyright issue.

Not in Canada, though - in the US and EU only. So they could be uploaded to the site at least (assuming the original work is PD of course).
