Shebalin Concertino and Wolf-Ferrari violin concerto

Post by Sivori »

Here https://imslp.org/wiki/Violin_Concertin ... Vissarion) you can download the piano part, but not the violin part. Why? Ok, David Oistrach (1908-1974) edited the violin part, so it must be availble after Januari1, 2025, but you can also read the violin part in the piano part, which is available. So this means you can upload the pianopart of the violin concerto of Wolf-Ferrari https://imslp.org/wiki/Violin_Concerto% ... C_Ermanno) , but the violinscore only after January 1, 2053, because the editor of the violin part Guila Bustabo (1916–2002) died in 2002. But when you have the pianopart of this violinconcerto (where you can also read the violin part) and upload it on IMSLP, everybody could download this pianopart.

The additions made by the editors such as the fingerings would have to be removed by the looks of it for it to become eligible. But its 2020 now and were only like 5 years away from the editor becoming PD in Canada (Life + 50 might not be a thing for much longer in Canada however due to the USMCA) so not really sure if its even worth it now to remove the fingerings and its been on here for 5 years already...
