Liszt, Oh quand je dors

Post by steltz »

We have two pages for this -- one is Liszt's original, and the other is a transcription by someone else for piano trio.

If the transcription stays on its own page, it won't be able to be tagged, because only original instrumentations or alternate instrumentations done by the composer are allowed to be tagged.

The files on the page without the S.282 should be moved to the page (under an "Arrangements and Transcriptions" header) with the S.282 number, and then the 2nd work page deleted.

I haven't worked out how to do this yet - the move button seems to only be for renaming pages, not moving files to other pages. Could someone do this, please?

Thanks.

Done. To move files to another page: When editing a page, you notice that all file entries are contained within bracketed groups of text that start with ) and paste it in the appropriate section of another page. (And then mess with headings if you need to.) For example, the file entry for the piano trio transcription was as follows:

So that entire thing just gets transplanted onto the correct page. After that's done, and headings are reconsidered, the old page (assuming it's empty, like in this case) doesn't need to be deleted- it can just be redirected. You can do that by replacing the entire content of the page with #REDIRECT newpage. (For example, #REDIRECT Oh! quand je dors, S.282 (Liszt, Franz) ).
