Not necessarily a Moderator Request, but I don’t know where else to put this -- Looking at the Featured Music section today, I am hoping that some knowledgeable person can easily and simply tell me the relationships, if any, among
The Whole Booke of Psalmes,
The Whole Booke of Psalmes,
The Whole Book of Psalms, and
Psalms (alternative title: "The Whole Booke of Psalmes ...”).
I know I could go in and compare for myself, but if you already know the answer, I’d be grateful for a summary: Different editions of essentially the same book? Different books but overlapping contents? Completely different, other than the name, and I’m wasting your time? Thanks!

Re: How Many Bookes of Psalmes?
Different psalters. Same lyrics, different tunes sums it up.
Your first three links comprise three different psalters (East, Ravenscroft, Playford) from three different centuries (the late 16th and early 17th century ones may have some overlap depending on Ravenscroft’s attitude to plagiarism).
Your fourth link appears to be extracts from the first link.
(I’d reply at greater length but I still haven’t mastered speed-typing on the iPhone keyboard.)
