Re: How to make brown pages black and white

I will appreciate if anybody helps me with converting the first version of the score (#333463) from the page below to b/w:
https://imslp.org/wiki/12_Violin_Sonata ... ie)#333463

Is there any guidelines or maybe scripts or plugins which can help to do such convertations myself?

Done. Most of it was already monochrome besides the brownish background. A few places were in grayscale, low resolution.

Guideline: use pdftk to split it into pdf pages. Use imagemagick to convert them to jpg with this script:
FOR /L %%A IN (%2,1,%3) DO (convert -quality 100 -density %1 p%%A.pdf p%%A.jpg) Clean or resize the jpgs if you want. Convert them to monochrome with imagemagick and use your usual method to assemble them into a pdf.

We have recorded (poor playing quality but we are amateurs) all IMSLP 1st position pupil concerto's from https://imslp.org/wiki/Template:Student ... _Concertos . Here is the playlist
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=50ufI5t ... Ck5lHhWC4N
Now the 1st -3 rd position. Still some years to go to record them all, because still 23 concertino's to go with the sheetmusic there exists.

Me and my pianist would like to have 2 Seybold concertino's in black and white. It is now black and jellow. Perhaps a specialist here to help us?

I think we have yet another project ahead of us with similar brown pages, pages with large margins or skew or markings etc.
Cypressdome, could you please write a page about how you re-sample, find the right black/white threshold etc.? Once we have the good tifs, assembling them in a pdf is now well documented: https://imslp.org/wiki/IMSLP_talk:Scanning_music_scores

We already had almost the useful pages. I expanded https://imslp.org/wiki/IMSLP:Image_Conversion. Hope now everybody will be able to append a black and white version to each brown score. :-)

We have now "recorded" all 30 student violin concertos from 1-3th position, so now I hope better violinists will play these pieces : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGulQmw ... G7WZVbKM75
