synthesized audio

Hello. I've noticed there's a sort of "quality exception" for the policy against synthesized
audio, so I wanted to know if this recording and others similarly created would be eligible
to upload as recordings:

Thanks for your attention

FL Studio and GPO. I'm also using SIR for convolution but I can't remember if I had it for that recording

Hi. I'm wondering if this synthesized MP3 would pass as "high quality" piano.

What is really meant by "high quality"? Do I need more dynamics?

At this point, the 'quality exception' is looking kind of useless/weird because we allow MIDI files, and we're also getting some MP3 realizations of MIDI from WIMA. Is there any reason to discriminate? Maybe we should just remove the quality exception and rewrite the policy to allow all synthesized audio. We've gone this far...

Yes, the "quality exception" really became obsolete when the "Synthesized/MIDI" tab came into play. BTW, just so anyone reading this will know, all items which are artificially generated by computer should go under this tab, regardless of the audio file format. There are probably at least as many MP3s on the site which have been generated from MIDIs as there are actual MIDIs at this point. All should go under the "Synthesized/MIDI" tab. The other tabs should be reserved for recorded performances or audios created by putting together different tracks of recorded performances.
