Hi there. I was browsing the IMSLP public domain information page and noticed that everything was set to _ _ _ 7 (as in the year) for entering public domain. For instance, Works that are copyrighted in Canada are those where the composer died after 1957. From my knowledge, composers enter the public domain on January 1st. Is it the January 1st of the year of their death or the one after it?

I think perhaps this is just not changed because of the takedown. Anyway, I will let an administrator handle it, in case it is actually _ _ _ 7 that is correct.

Just thought I would bring it up.

it's correct as it is on that page, the copyright term in almost all countries ends on Jan.1st after 50/70/... calendar years. So for example in Canada, a composer enters in public domain on Jan 1 of [year of death] + 51.
