I enjoy dating antiques, but must admit I am far out of my depths with a music piece I've just found. It's titled "15 Etudes in Style and Expression for Piano" by J. Concone, revised by Hans Semper, and published by The B.F. Woods Music Co.
What I've found thus far:
1. J. Concone is, quite Obviously, Giuseppe Concone.
2. Hans Semper (March 12th 1845-May 16th 1920) was a German-Austrian Art historian. I can find one other work he has worked on with B.F. Wood Music Co: Practical method for the pianoforte : op. 249 (B.F. Wood, 1890)
3. On the back a Mr. L.J. Quigley is credited as having scored Notturno, score 1906, pub. 1915.
I'm mainly trying to find the publication year, although any other proof it exists other than my copy would be great as well!

I'm trying to find the publishing year of the edition I mentioned. I plan on posting it when I can, but I originally started this journey because I was curious about how old my copy likely is.coulonnus wrote: ↑Sat Mar 09, 2024 6:57 am We already have https://imslp.org/wiki/15_%C3%89tudes_d ... _Giuseppe)

Based on the plate number and what I can find online, probably circa 1910s.
