Labriola's N'aje core has the language listed as Neapolitan. Is it like Catalan, which is a distinct language from Spanish, and should it have it's own tag?

I agree about trating Neapolitan as a distinct language in the IMSLP context.

From a legal viewpoint, Neapolitan is not included in the list of languages recognized in Italy by national laws (12 languages, further to Italian) or by regional laws (additional 8 languages). However, from a cultural viewpoint, UNESCO recognizes Neapolitan as a language belonging to the South Italian group. I think that in our context the cultural aspect prevails. By the way, Latin is not included in the list of languages recognized by laws in Italy, while it definitely cannot be excluded from the list of languages used in music!

On CPDL we already have a specific category for works in Neapolitan.
