Michael Haydn's Laudate populi http://imslp.org/wiki/Laudate_populi_(H ... MSLP342383 sparked this off, but I see that Grove Music has a very long list of "Mass proper movements" for him, and probably others.

These aren't full masses, so I don't think "masses" would be appropriate, so do they just become sacred songs or cantatas or motets?

Luckily we already have the tag "offertoriums" (different from "offertories") which is defined as "chant, item of the Proper of the Mass; from the 17th century frequently performed independently of the liturgy".

Breitkopf's edition of the Haydn score actually has the subtitle " Offertorium pro omni tempore", so we should be safe to use that.

it will be interesting to see if any other examples are subtitled "Offertorium" as well.

Sorry, I realised the tag should be in the singular (like the other mass movements), so it's "offertorium".
