I just tried it on a Mozart concert aria. The results aren't exactly attractive, but they look usable, and are certainly better than nothing.
What it does is detect the staves, then slice the full score into ribbons, then collate the staves of each common instrument. You end up with uneven margins, and possibly some high or low notes sliced off. Like I said, not pretty, but usable.
