The problem with accordion music is that, although accordion repertoire ranges anything from Bach to Gubaidulina, the older pieces are arrangements for accordion (which means the arranger still has copyrights on the music), and the newer ones are too new to have faded out of copyright (many composers who've written specifically for the modern accordion are still alive).

This is why it might be too hard to find Public Domain scores for accordion.
