Is there any "search by melody" tutorial?

The new funtion "search by melody" is amazing.
But it seems that there're still some bugs waiting to be fixed
I would like to know if there's any "search by melody" tutorial because I don't quite know how does it work?
ex:"smoothing" "normalized" eta
