Hello everybody!

I wanted to ask if someone knows something about Mascagni's Le maschere. On the site, there's a Vocal Score of the
opera. But when I listen to the recordings, there are many differences! I listened to several recordings and all of them
seem to perform the different version. So, does anyone know if this opera was revised and if the score on the site is the
original or the revision?

yes there are two versions. though they are similar . the original is 1901 the revision is 1931. That is all I really know about the two different versions. It is a lovely work but i think it was outdated for the time period and it lacks some compositional fluidity.
