Hi !
My work changed considerably since the adoption of IMSLP app with an Ipad 12. I can't say how greatefull i am not having any longer to travel with tons of paper scores. Such a game changer solution!
Now i was wandering if the same workflow could be achieved without an Ipad. I understand that there is no desktop software, but i finally came across this idea. Installing waydroid (a linux container that allows you to run android apps on a PC) so to have it in a convertible (a 2 in 1 or similar).
I see, it's cumerbsome and wierd, but would be nice for me to keep my distance from apple.
Am I alone in my paranoia? Did somebody tried it or could suggest a better solution? (.... and before you say it, no, a android tablet is not a solution for me, i would like to carry just 1 devices with me and it would be nice if it was a linux one)
tx a lot,

Re: android app, linux notebook and waydroid
Hi folks,
i reply to .. my self two years later, who knows, a day someone could find this useful. Or stupid
in short, Yes, it works.
I had to carefully look for a 2 in 1 who could run linux (rara avis). I finally opted for a HP, after i considered a framework 12 (who has linux from scratch and many nice features, but is not in the best spot for money/worth ratio in my opinion).
Once installed fedora in it, i could run waydroid a and finally the IMSLP app. The biggest hiccup was to have a way to trigger the tablet mode in the OS, because the kernel doesn't yet support the accelerometer present in the notebook.
Without an automatic change from desktop to tablet simply by flipping the screen, i needed a workaround and finally a LLM suggested me a a script that trigger the tablet mode via a short keyboard command.
Yes, it certainly is not as smoothless as a tablet, there is little friction to accept (android must first launch, than IMSLP). But is stable enough to make gig with.
so i am ready to dicht my ipad.
