Significant corrections are needed in the categories under which Henry Litolff's piano concertos are stored.
Concerto symphonique No. 5 is designated as "Piano solo", with a note reading "This is either the piano solo reduction released in 1870 or just the piano solo part. From the looks of things, it's the piano solo part with cues for what the orchestra is doing." It is in fact a two-piano score, with the reduction of the orchestral part placed above the solo part in smaller notes; this is the opposite of the standard presentation, but it was common in the early nineteenth century. The tab under which the work is filed should thus be "Arrangements and transcriptions".
The well-known Concerto symphonique No. 4 has the same problem. The score posted under "Parts" and described as "Piano solo (with orchestral cues)" is again a two-piano score. Furthermore, that score is identical to the two posted under "Arrangements and transcription". The only difference is that the one under "Parts" has a cover page, a title page, and a concluding page indicating the publisher's name. They all belong together.
The score of the Concerto symphonique No. 2, on the other hand, is a piano solo score in which a system for an orchestral reduction appears for extended orchestral passages, with an added staff for various cues here and there.
Finally, the score of Concerto symphonique No. 3 is split into two parts that could be easily merged, especially since the break does not occur at a meaningful place.
I do not see a way of making the appropriate modifications. When I click on Page | Edit at the top of the page, the general information at the bottom of the pages is all that appears to be editable. I would appreciate if someone with advanced knowledge (or privileges) in these matters could solve this major confusion with the Litolff concertos as mentioned above.
Furthermore, it would be nice if someone came up with a better scan of Concerto symphonique No. 5; the one posted in 2007 is very difficult to read.
