I also wrote about this issue in the work page discussion, so I'll try to condense matters here.
The Kalmus score and parts, catalog A3175, are "authenticity uncertain", so there is an obvious interest in resolving the question of their provenance. Right now, this version is noted as "1875-76" (presumably year of composition, not publication) and as a reprint from Raettig, but:
1. There is no record of Raettig having ever published this symphony, not even as a reprint. Searching for Bruckner Symphonie Rattig on WorldCat offers only records of the Symphony No. 3 (aka the "Wagner"), with the curious exception of a Symphony No. 9 reprint from Doblinger/Universal.
2. While Bruckner did revise the symphony in 1876, no score or parts of this version have ever been publicly available, certainly not at the time that the "Raettig edition" would have been first published.
Both descriptions (1875-76 and Raettig) presumably originated with Kalmus, but they both appear to be in error. An (admittedly cursory) comparison of scores #687709 (Kalmus) with #562472 (Doblinger) indicates that everything matches up from an engraving perspective, from tempo markings to page counts. Of course, we (supposedly) don't have the Doblinger parts on IMSLP. I found an almost complete record of the Doblinger parts at the Austrian National Library (MS2960). What is available there strongly suggests that the Kalmus edition is exactly the same. The engraving looks the same, the page numbers and tempo markings match, etc.
In short, I propose that the existing Kalmus files be redesignated as "2nd Version, revised (1892)" in both score and parts. The attribution for the original publisher should probably be changed to Doblinger as well; the plate numbers are D. 1769 (score) and D. 1770 (parts).
Symphony No.2 in C minor, WAB 102 (Bruckner, Anton) - the "1875-76" version reprinted by Kalmus is probably just 1892.
