I have submitted the English version of the book called ' The First steps of the young pianist' and as an alternative name I gave the original German name ' Die ersten Schritte des jungen Klavierspielers'. But on IMSLP the English title has been changed to the German title. The book I uploaded is the English version and not the original German version and I feel that it should be changed back to the English title because the majority of non-German speaking would not know that this is indeed ' The First steps of the young pianist'

The policy on the site is to use the title in the language in which it was first presented by the composer. The two exceptions to this rule are generic titles such as Piano Sonata No.5 or Symphony No.1 and titles written in a non-Western alphabet. Page naming is covered in the manual of style. If you perform a search of the site for "The First steps of the young pianist" it will direct you to Gurlitt's Opus 82.
