Re avatars: The directory that hosts avatars currently have insufficient permissions. Old avatars are moved, but new ones are not allowed yet. If people really want avatars, I can enable them.

Re spam: Just implemented Custom Profile Fields that hopefully fixes the problem (a more permanent fix in the form of a better CAPTCHA will come in the next minor version of phpBB). Anyone interested can try registering again to test it (you'll see what it is when you get to the registration page).

I dunno.... I kinda like this new format (pardon my colloquialisms )

I find the new color scheme to be refreshing, a sight for sore eyes, ut ita dicam.

The old one seemed overused and monotone (maybe I've seen it too much).

Just a personal opinion based on my own observations and experience...

Maybe some sort of scheme change every now and then would be desirable, to keep thing fresh, because after a while, this scheme may eventually wear out...
