I guess that pretty much everyone here is a musician. So... do musicians like to read? What are your favorite books?
I do. Sci-Fi. My favorite s Ender's Game and Hyperion.

In the sci-fi/fantasy genre I've greatly enjoyed George RR Martin's A Saga of Ice and Fire, a multi-volume series still incomplete after 4 excellent installments (A Game of thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows).

I read frequently - I'm currently working my way through all of Thomas Mann.
My favorites include Oblomov, Good Soldier Svejk, Doktor Faustus, Faust, Les Miserables, Don Quixote, Moby Dick, and The Magic Mountain.

Yes!
Currently, I'm casually reading Anna Karenina by Tolstoy (that is, I pick it up every few weeks and read a tiny fraction). It is an amazing story.

I love reading. I think reading helps me with interpreting piano pieces because I can use those stories I read to go along with the piano pieces I play. I happen to be very fond of Russian classic novels. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I should read? I've read Anna Karnenina and The Idiot.

Try some Andrei Makine - Russian born 1957 - living in France since 1987. "le testament francais" is the only novel to win both Prix Goncourt and Prix Medicis. It is a lovely read. Reading is still a live tradition in Russia... we all have a book tucked away for when you are stuck in a queue in the bank or post office... or just on a tram or in the metro.

I don't really enjoy reading. For me, reading is a means to an end. If I want to learn something, I go find a book about it and read it, but reading is not something I do in my spare time for entertainment.

I like reading. The last book I read was "Master and Margaret" by Mikhail Bulgakov. I love this book. Actually it was the 3rd time I read it...
