Firefox problem, moving to Chrome

Hey
I've been a Firefox user for the past 4 years, and I've very happy with the browser.
But recently I've switched to Win7 and since then Firefox has been acting like IE
I mean it lagging, opening pages very slow, and slowing my computer witch is running on a i7 by the way.
I am thinking of switching (full time) on the Chrome browser.
What do you think ?
Have you experienced this lag in Firefox recently ?
Regards
Robin

Sure. Of course, I only use Firefox when I've no other option. Though Chrome has been somewhat "laggy"... Hmmmmm...

Maybe this can help (from
http://support.mozilla.com/it/questions/683848):
SOLUTION!!!!!! I was reading somewhere about windows firewall being an issue. I thought I had disabled it, but in windows 7, it's a much more complex program than XP. So as a last resort and desperate act, I opened "Control Panel>System and Security>Windows Firewall".
Up in the left hand corner is a link "allow a program or feature....". Click on it. At the top of the new window is a link "Change Settings". Click it. At the bottom "Allow another program". Click on it. Select Firefox. Then click on "add". Viola!! The magic happens. Firefox has been set free.
For whatever, Firefox requires this, but other browsers don't seem affected. Phew.......

Hi Guys,
Switch to Safari, Apple.
You don't have these problems.

safari in windows isn't such a good combination as the browser is optimized for an apple computer. By all means, try chrome. I tried it a few years ago and never went back to mozilla
That said, I suggest you also try other free browsers like opera (I sometimes use it when my connection is slow). Have you tried the latest version of IE? I know IE has got some bad reputation already but I heard the new one is good

IE is a ripoff. Too impractical...

How can something be a "ripoff" if it comes free with the OS?

I never noticed anything wrong with Firefox until version 4.0 was released...

Once upon a time I used IE and I always despised the time it wasted me during my studies. Then, I came upon the glorious Firefox, who, not only being much more prettier and personification-able, was much faster. But alas, the fox caught a thorn in it's paw, so my dad took a while to pull it out. While I was waiting, I stumbled upon...THE CHROME!! Whom I have used, will use and most likely will forever use until something much more magnificent comes out. Which I doubt.

Haha. I saw the word "glorious" next to Firefox... That scared me. Unless it's used for extensions and junk like that. I'd prefer it in that case.. *gasp*

I prefer Firefox over Chrome. If Firefox is slow for you, you should try getting the latest version. If you're a fan of plugins, Firefox is the best browser

I usually prefer Firefox or Opera browsers. If something is wrong with them I just check for the newest updates... Chrome sometimes is too slow as for me...
