I saw it again (in a tab I forgot to close) it was definitely a spam link, they are typical of spammers and they are certainly getting more and more realistic in their posts. If you've noticed, the spammer hasn't complained of his banning ergo, it hasn't noticed. Basically, it was definitely spam.

I also link to my blog. However, I don't link to Pirate Party Australia (with which I am associated), because I believe that would be spam. I do link to IMSLP because I think it is always helpful to anyone, but linking to PPAU can be politically annoying.
If I even knew how to make a sig,
BBCode, go to User Control Panel (very windows-like name…).

I'm somewhere in the 2nd act of Strauss' Aegyptische Helena in a MET performance of 2007 over the Metropolitan Opera channel at Sirius Radio via the Sirius Internet Radio player. Unfortunately, you have to subscribe to (i.e. pay for) this service. But as an opera lover I think it is worth the monthly fee.

Stravinsky's "Requiem Canticles", Michael Gielen conducting (much better than Craft's version).

A wonderful but very under-performed work of his.

The strong, passionate first movement of Dvorak's Fourth Symphony. Ah, I can't get enough of Dvorak.

I'm prepping myself for my biennual RING Day. Fourteen hours, nothing but Wagner. It sounds silly, but it gives me enormous joy to do this. This time around it's the Barenboim: a ludicrous production visually, but God above those singers.....

EDITED SOME TIME LATER TO ADD:

My god. That was... so... so... FABULOUS (insert squeal here). Seriously, it's one of the best Rings Ive heard (I made a devoted effort not to watch the presentation, out of respect for the moment.). Great conducting, incredible singing -- okay, a few quibbles about some of the minor roles, like the Rhinemaidens. But the principals were all near flawless.

That's great that you do that Mr. Martin. Barenboim is a very good Wagner interpreter. I think his Tristan is one of the best (his recording with Meier is amazing). Of course, like every other Wagner enthusiast, Solti's recording is my favorite. The tempos are perfect, the sound quality very good (not the best, though), and the singing is superb. Gustav Neidlinger, in that recording, is the best Alberich I've ever heard, and Birgit Nillson as Brunhilde. It doesn't get any better. I could go on and on and on and on about that recording.

I also like Levine's 1990 recording at the Met, but he takes his tempos a little too slow some times. Furtwangler, though the sound isn't great, still is worth listening to. Bohm is also very good.

Darius Milhaud's Clarinet Concerto dedicated to Benny Goodman

Ken Peplowski, clarinet with the Bulgarian National Symphony under Ljubomir Denev

It's a piece worth looking into.
