My brother will be getting married in September, and has asked me to sing at the ceremony, and my choir too. I honestly am not sure what I should do, I am grade 8 standard but am relatively inexperienced as a singer and not experienced AT ALL with weddings, this will be the first one I've ever been to! This then means I've no idea what to have my choir sing, either.
It can be sacred or secular, I am a bass with a range of D to E and any length will do, really. What's more is that my choir can accompany me as well as an organ/piano. Just any suggestions would be really welcome!!
As regards songs/arias, so far I've thought of op.105 Wie Melodien Zeiht Es Mir, by Brahms, otherwise perhaps something by Vaughan Williams, but I'm sure there's plenty out there that I don't know of. It's going to be in a slightly quaint rural church in SW England, so maybe something typically English would perhaps be fitting, but certainly not a requirement
